I highly recommend this tour! We spent four incredible days in the jungle with our guides Jorge and Fredy, sharing many wonderful moments and learning a lot about the wildlife and the surrounding nature. The organization is excellent: the accommodations are comfortable, the food is good and varied, and the program is flexible so activities can be adapted depending on the weather if needed. We were also particularly impressed by the strong respect for the animals and the jungle, which is clearly at the heart of the experience: there is no direct interaction with wildlife,  but we were able to see many animals during our different walks and take great photos (especially thanks to Jorge and Fredy’s cameras

Thank you, Jorge, for showing us the amazing places in Peru. Thanks to you, we were able to travel safely to worthwhile places, learn about the customs and life of the Incas, eat healthy and delicious food, and enjoy exotic fruits straight from the trees. There was also live music. Thanks to you and your organization, we were able to visit Cusco and the surrounding area, Machu Picchu, and the most new experience for me was a Rainforest where I was able to play flute. It was amazing when the jungle responded to the sounds. Me and my husband love to come back and with Jorge explore  more of this beautiful country Peru.

Four days spent in the Amazon basin in the Manu National Park: Georges, a native of the region, knows the reserve like the back of his hand and relies on local specialists (botany, wildlife, navigation) to help us discover life around the Madre de Dios River. We saw parrots, monkeys, toucans, various bird species, and learned about the workings of the jungle, from symbiosis to strangler figs... We also relaxed with baths under a waterfall and in hot springs.

The two evenings spent at Coco's House were very pleasant. Georges is a fantastic cook, eager to introduce us to the dishes of his region. In short, he took excellent care of us throughout this trip, which we highly recommend!

Testimonials

We did a private 5-days tour to the Manu Reserved Zone as a family of four, and it was a unique (and intense) experience! We were accompanied by a wonderful team of locals who know the area by heart - the river, the jungle, and the people.

Thank you Cecilio and Pancho for your impressive boat driving! Thank you Raul for the tasty meals! Thank you Darwin for your broad knowledge and your amazing ability to spot wildlife, in particular birds. It was a pleasure to have you as our nature guide!

And of course thank you Jorge for driving us safely, letting us stay at Coco's House, and organizing everything so beautifully!

Relaxation & Exploration: After a great boat ride and a walk through the jungle, we enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing moment in hidden thermal hot springs.

Authenticity: We stayed at Coco's house, located in the village of Itahuania, right in the middle of the Amazon. The hospitality was wonderful, and once again, the food was amazing.

The next day was just as incredible: a jungle trek allowed us to spot several monkeys, and we ended the day beautifully by watching macaws, not to mention the awesome experience of tasting a raw cacao bean straight from the pod!

Even the journey back had surprises in store for us with a visit to an animal rescue center, where we got to observe a tapir, macaws, a coati, and monkeys up close.

In short, a wonderful experience! If you are looking for an authentic, human, and fascinating immersion into the Amazon, you can go with Jorge and Darwin with your eyes closed. Huge thanks to them for memories that will last a lifetime!

We had an extraordinary experience in the Amazon alongside Jorge and Darwin. Everything was perfect from beginning to end!

The journey started right from our departure in Cusco, with lovely touches like a stop to buy fresh bread and a great breakfast break in Paucartambo. The drive itself is a magical show: we crossed the cloud forest, then the rainforest, to finally plunge into the heart of the Amazon.

From day one, Jorge proved to be an exceptional cook, treating us to delicious home-cooked meals throughout the trip. After spending our first night in Salvación – where his brother Darwin joined us, much to our delight – the discoveries just kept coming:

Nature Immersion: Visiting the Cocha Machuwasi lagoon was a true highlight, where we observed beautiful birds in absolute peace.
